Overview

Senior Software Engineer required. A Senior Software Engineer is required by Signum People's market leading client based in Amsterdam. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with one of the most innovative data solutions on the market, who is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in driving development and taking a lead role within the team.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will have proven experience working in complex web application environments, and have a deep knowledge of API-driven design and development including knowledge of Microservices, REST APIs, and/or GraphQL. Working in a fast paced and dynamic company, it is imperative that you are an expert in technical design, and have exemplary stakeholder engagement capability. It is essential you will enjoy taking part in technical discussion and making design considerations across software development, security, scalability, performance, integration and API architecture. The Senior Software Engineer will also possess a strong passion for coaching and mentoring, and will enjoy leading teams and engaging in technical discussion around design, development and software engineering best-practice.

Responsibilities

• Strong experience leading the development of complex web applications
• Proven track-record in designing and building scalable, API-driven systems (REST, GraphQL, and/or Microservices)
• Deep understanding of API architecture, security, performance, and integration
• Understanding of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue etc) - although not essential
• Strong coding and technical design skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills
• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and promoting software engineering best practices

Qualifications / Required experience

• Proven experience in leading development of complex web applications
• Experience designing and building scalable, API-driven systems (REST, GraphQL, and/or Microservices)
• Strong understanding of API architecture, security, performance, and integration
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) - not essential
• Strong coding and technical design skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership
• Coaching and mentoring mindset and practices
