We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join the team responsible for the platform, which is building a flexible system to manage the collection, enrichment, and sharing of data across multiple internal systems. The platform ensures consistency, reliability, and observability of data pipelines serving analytical and operational workloads. This project serves as the foundation for multiple data driven initiatives across products, enhancing internal data capabilities and time to insight.

Team setup: Team Lead, 6 BE, 2 SDET. Reporting: all engineers report to EM.

Tech Stack: Java 17+, Kubernetes, Spring, OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elastic

Work Environment: Flexible schedule with mandatory attendance for core team ceremonies (daily stand ups, retros, and sprint planning). The environment emphasizes autonomy, deep technical ownership, and close collaboration with cross functional teams.

As a qualified expert You will

• Design and implement automated test frameworks for API and backend services.
• Develop and execute test strategies for a microservices based architecture
• Implement CI/CD quality gates and maintain test coverage visibility.
• Collaborate with developers on testability, observability, and performance improvements.
• Identify, document, and track defects and technical risks.
• Ensure continuous improvement of test automation and QA processes.
• Mentor and support mid level SDETs and QA engineers.

We're looking for you if you have

Core Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 17+ preferred)
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Hands on experience with API and backend testing, CI/CD
• Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
• Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Elastic is considered a plus
• Solid knowledge of software testing principles, design patterns, and OOP
• Proven track record in performance testing, integration testing, and test data management
• English level - Upper intermediate, Ukrainian - Fluent.
