Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Social Value Lead to work on consultancy projects within our Central Government Business Unit, including the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, and other Government Departments. The successful candidate will be part of the Responsible Business team, reporting to the Sector Leads, and will lead a team of Social Value Managers to deliver client-facing and business development activities related to Social Value (SV).
The candidate will be responsible for leading and growing a high-performing team, developing strong client relationships, facilitating collaboration among contractors and consultants, and driving innovative and effective SV solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Leading a team of Social Value Managers within the Central Government Business Unit.
- Delivering high-value SV consultancy across all project stages.
- Managing relationships with strategic clients and identifying growth opportunities.
- Supporting business development activities, including bid writing and networking.
- Ensuring client requirements and targets are met efficiently.
- Quality assurance of SV deliverables.
- Organizing and leading SV events for collaboration.
- Monitoring SV delivery through KPIs and reporting.
- Leading client presentations and obtaining feedback.
- Conducting internal and external training sessions.
- Creating reports, including economic valuation of SV outcomes.
- Developing case studies and promoting SV best practices.
- Supporting procurement processes to maximize SV.
- Organizing volunteering days and handling queries professionally.
- Supporting the Responsible Business team and other duties as needed.
Ideally, the candidate will have:
- 10+ years' experience in Social Value and/or Sustainability.
- Experience in implementing SV initiatives in major projects.
- Construction experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of SV drivers, policies, and valuation frameworks.
- Experience managing a team of experts.
- Business development skills, including bid writing and client engagement.
- Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Professional and calm demeanor.
- Solid IT skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
