Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a senior Commercial P&C insurance professional with strong experience in the Swiss SME/Commercial Insurance market.

The ideal candidate has a background in Underwriting, Technical Underwriting or as a P&C Insurance Expert, with strong practical knowledge of Property and/or Casualty insurance, risk assessment, underwriting guidelines and portfolio steering.

You should be able to quickly understand existing structures, work independently with limited onboarding and provide practical, actionable recommendations from day one. Experience with product structures, risk appetite frameworks and facility/framework agreements is particularly valuable.

About the Assignment
The assignment focuses on reviewing and further developing the Commercial P&C/SME insurance approach, including risk appetite, underwriting guidelines, product structures and facility/framework agreements.

The role requires a senior professional who can work closely with business stakeholders and translate complex insurance topics into clear recommendations and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and further develop the P&C risk appetite framework
• Assess and optimise the SME product offering and coverage concepts
• Review underwriting guidelines, principles, limits and deductibles
• Analyse current underwriting and market practices
• Review and optimise facility agreements and framework contracts
• Assess underwriting processes, workflows and operating models
• Identify and document improvement opportunities and recommendations
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, Business Development and other stakeholders
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to specialist and management audiences

Required Experience

• Several years of experience in the Swiss SME/Commercial Insurance market
• Strong background as Underwriter, Technical Underwriter, P&C Insurance Expert or similar
• Deep knowledge of Property and/or Casualty insurance
• Strong understanding of Commercial P&C underwriting and risk assessment
• Practical experience with risk appetite, underwriting guidelines, product structures and portfolio steering
• Experience with underwriting limits, deductibles and commercial insurance contracts
• Good knowledge of Swiss market practices
• Ability to work independently with limited onboarding
• Fluency in German and/or French
