About the Role


We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Repairs Supervisor to join our property services team in the SW9 area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in reactive repairs who is ready to take the next step toward a Contracts Manager position.

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day reactive maintenance works, managing a team of operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget. This role offers clear progression into contract management, with support and training to develop your leadership, commercial, and client relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities


Manage and oversee reactive repairs operations across housing stock, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met
Supervise operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing direction, support, and performance management
Liaise with tenants, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction
Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and health and safety audits
Monitor budgets, costs, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and value for money
Assist with contract administration, invoicing, and reporting in preparation for progression into a Contracts Manager role
Identify opportunities for service improvement and business growth

Skills and Experience Required


Essential:
Strong knowledge and experience in reactive repairs and maintenance within social housing or property services
Proven supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, residents, and colleagues
Good understanding of health and safety compliance in repairs and maintenance
IT literate with experience in using job management systems
Full UK driving licence

Desirable:
Experience working with contracts management processes
Trade background or technical qualification in a building discipline
Previous experience in a role with budget or cost control responsibility
