Senior SHES Advisor

Our client, a leading company in the Transmission and Distribution sector, is currently seeking a Senior SHES Advisor for a contract role at the Brimsdown substation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing expert advice on legal and regulatory environmental requirements
• Handling primary and secondary consenting processes
• Managing the discharge of permits
• Addressing issues related to contaminated land on site
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations
• Collaborating with internal teams to effectively manage SHES activities
• Contributing to ecological management plans and initiatives

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in the Transmission and Distribution sector
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environmental requirements
• Background in consulting or infrastructure projects, preferably with companies like RSK, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall, or Balfour Beatty
• Experience in managing complex environmental and SHES processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing and positive attitude, with the ability to build rapport
• Willingness to work on site three days a week in North London/Essex
