Senior Schemes Underwriter

This is a senior, outward-facing role within a highly regarded commercial insurer's specialist schemes function.

As a Senior Schemes Underwriter, you will be:

• Helping grow and evolve a specialist Commercial Schemes portfolio
• Partnering with Sales colleagues and brokers to identify, assess and progress new scheme opportunities
• Supporting the successful onboarding and implementation of new schemes
• Using MI and portfolio performance data to spot improvement, growth and profitability opportunities
• Playing an active role in delivering the wider commercial business plan
• Coaching, supporting and sharing knowledge with underwriting colleagues
• Working across Underwriting, Sales and Operations to deliver excellent outcomes for brokers and customers

As a Senior Schemes Underwriter, you will have:

• Strong commercial underwriting experience is required, with involvement in schemes and affinities being a distinct advantage
• Strong broker relationship and stakeholder management skills
• A commercially astute mindset, with a clear understanding of profitable growth
• Confidence working with data, portfolio performance and management information
• The ability to balance multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
• A collaborative, improvement led approach
• Experience supporting or developing colleagues would be expected
