Senior APO Support Consultant - Global SCM Systems Support (Freelance)

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Dutch & English (Written & Verbal)
• Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP APO modules: Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), and Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
• Demonstrated expertise in handling high-priority incidents and managing L1-L3 support across global SAP SCM landscapes
• Strong experience leading hypercare and post-go-live stabilization phases in large-scale SAP APO implementations
• Skilled in monitoring and troubleshooting CIF (Core Interface) issues, including error resolution between APO and ECC/S4 systems
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve planning engine issues including heuristic failures, optimizer exceptions, and master/transaction data inconsistencies
• Capable of preparing in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation and implementing preventive action plans
• Confident communicator with experience working alongside business planners, IT leadership, and global/offshore support teams
• Highly analytical and quality-focused consultant who thrives under pressure and delivers effective, timely resolutions in a dynamic business environment

Desirable Skills:

• SAP SCM APO certification
• ITIL Foundation Certification (Preferred)
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, ServiceNow, HP ALM, and related incident management tools
• Background supporting APO environments in industries with complex, multi-tier supply chains (e.g., manufacturing, pharma, consumer goods)
• Exposure to SAP ECC and S/4HANA integration scenarios and best practices

Overview:

Our client is looking for a Freelance Senior SAP APO Support Consultant to join their global supply chain systems support team. The role will be instrumental in ensuring system stability, fast issue resolution, and ongoing optimization of APO functionalities across business-critical operations.

You'll be responsible for managing end-to-end incident resolution, driving hypercare initiatives post-deployment, and acting as a trusted advisor to both business and IT teams. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve planning issues, monitor CIF interfaces, and align SAP APO performance with operational goals.

This is a pivotal, hands-on position for someone who brings a strong track record in APO production support and a commitment to supply chain excellence through technology enablement.
