Our expertise helps clients to navigate the challenges and opportunities from shifting consumer demands to diversifying sales channels and supply chains. Our on-the-ground teams ensure our customers gain new business insights, intelligence and market leading GTS solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Sales Manager and Sector Specialist, Retail and Consumer Brands.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver portfolio and sector revenue growth in line with GTS Europe and Americas targets, whilst ensuring robust profitability and returns
  • Maintain a high degree of sales intensity and deepen customer relationships by collaborating with CIB and transaction banking partners including Global Payments Solutions, Markets and Securities Services
  • Cover pan-European mandates for both Europe-headquartered Retail and Consumer Brands clients and key inbound clients in the sector, developing and cultivating relationships and opportunities
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creative thinking when developing market leading sectorised client solutions for trade and working capital, leveraging the full product suite, from documentary trade and guarantees to receivables finance and supply chain solutions
  • Develop Retail and Consumer Brands sector specialism and deliver on the sector strategy, working in collaboration with global sector leadership and coverage
  • Deliver a market leading customer experience in partnership with colleagues across GTS including client management, implementation, services, risk, product and portfolio management and distribution
  • Actively contribute to GTS sales and structuring discussions to elevate the level of client advisory and the delivery of bespoke, structured and sector-specific solutions to clients
  • Ensure connectivity to the wider trade finance industry, building thought leadership and adapting to regulatory and market infrastructure changes
  • Understand economic trends and their impact on GTS; identify key levers to capitalise on opportunities or minimise downside exposure
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and that risk impact is mitigated for GTS across all risk typologies including regulatory, conduct, financial crime

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Sector awareness including of industry trends and major clients, with a willingness to develop industry expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve safe and sustainable revenue growth and sales targets through a client and solution-centric approach
  • Detailed knowledge of the trade finance business and working capital with sector expertise highly desirable
  • Broad corporate/commercial banking and relationship management experience
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills set.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment while making material progress with clients and stakeholders in a complex, matrixed, organizational structure
  • Ability to use strong judgement to identify and resolve problems
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end bank operations
  • Awareness of global economic and political factors and their impact on GTS
  • Ability to anticipate trends and respond proactively
  • Knowledge of the global nature of the Group's business with strong commercial orientation combined with a customer driven approach

The base location of this role is London operating a Hybrid working model.
