Job Description

Impact, on and off the pitch

The Senior Sales Manager will be part of The FA partnership sales team that drives the commercial development of elite and grassroots football. You will be responsible for building and selling progressive Women's Game partnerships that foster commercial growth and inspire positive change.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing a 3-year commercial partnerships strategy for the women's game
  • Commercialising competitions and assets such as:
  • The Lionesses
  • Adobe Women's FA Cup, Women's National League
  • Affiliated club football
  • Talent pathways
  • Youth development programmes including Wildcats and Squad
  • Managing the creation, development, and alignment of new women's game programmes with relevant FA departments, including initiatives like women's healthcare or specific product development
  • Collaborating on initiatives to grow audience engagement, fanbase, and community impact through commercial activation
  • Developing research and creative materials to enhance the value and sale of Women's Game programmes
  • Leading all women's commercial programmes within The FA Commercial team and working with WSL to optimise growth
  • Coordinating with sales agency partners
  • Building compelling sales narratives and creating bespoke presentations for specific categories and brands
  • Managing the entire sales process from lead generation to contract execution
  • Creating purpose-driven propositions for business categories to support women's football programmes sales
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to align commercial needs and create programmes
  • Supporting partnership renewals as needed
  • Applying knowledge of consumer and media research
  • Attending events to source new leads and opportunities
  • Based at Wembley Stadium with significant UK travel
  • Executing additional tasks as required to meet FA priorities
  • Complying with company policies to maintain high health, safety, and well-being standards
  • Completing a DBS check as part of ensuring a safe environment in football

Essential for the role:

  • Extensive sales experience with a proven track record
  • Experience in complex stakeholder environments
  • Creative and strategic approach to monetising assets and presenting marketing ideas
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to sell to C-Suite clients
  • Ability to build and sell partnerships, not just sponsorships
  • Engaging, open team player
