Senior Risk Lawyer - Professional Indemnity

A law firm is seeking a senior professional to join its Governance & Risk team. This hybrid role involves working across all offices to support firmwide compliance, claims management and quality assurance initiatives. The position is suited to a lawyer transitioning into compliance or a seasoned compliance professional with experience in claims handling.

• Advise on complex claims under the firm's small claims authority
• Support the renewal of professional indemnity insurance
• Handle client and third-party complaints
• Contribute to firmwide risk projects and drive improvements.
• Develop and deliver training on governance and risk topics

• Legal background in litigation or property law, or compliance experience in a law firm
• Strong understanding of the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct
• Experience managing complex compliance issues and claims handling
• Familiarity with professional indemnity insurance processes
