(Senior) Reinsurance Claims Adjuster - 28583

A diverse opportunity has arisen to join their European claims team.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Analyse initial claim notifications, including coverage verification and associated checks for excess of loss contracts across multiple lines of business.
• Maintain electronic claims files and validate reserve bookings and payments in line with authority matrix.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and risk control frameworks.
• Liaise with brokers and clients in respect of claim queries, anomalies, and general account management.
• Participate in the claims audit programme (some travel is required with this role), conducting onsite & remote meetings. Produce written analysis of findings for presentation to internal stakeholders including underwriting and actuarial functions.
• A relevant legal or insurance qualification (or progress towards) such as Cert CII, DIP CII, ACII, Qualified Solicitor or ILEX is an advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a reinsurance claims team handling relevant lines of business. UK Motor experience is essential.
• Commercial judgement required to progress technical/complex reinsurance claims/disputes.
• Ability to provide clear written reports and analysis of losses and account performance.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
