Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is an experienced QS who has a track record in managing all costs and income within their area of responsibility on building and civil engineering projects. They seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
What you'll be doing- Has a good knowledge of and adheres to the Company's governance requirements and maximises LEAN/digital opportunities.
- Orders information and systematically checks data.
- Maximises digital opportunities.
- Prepares Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyses tender documents.
- Critically appraises, estimates and negotiates the above with 3rd parties.
- Reviews complex contract programmes such as Time-Location, assists with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes.
- Monitors subcontract activities, measures and responds appropriately.
- Analyses the commercial progress and reports to senior project staff.
- Prepares Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation.
- Understands the Customer Contract and undertakes customer and stakeholder management.
- Analyses rates & prices, agreements of variations and or compensation events as required.
- Prepares, submits and negotiates claims when required.
- Manages commercial aspects with Customer and Stakeholders.
- Undertakes constructability analyses using construction programmes.
- Prepares procurement programme and helps develop the strategy.
- Supports the recruitment, supervision and development of team members.
- Strong Commercial Management experience.
- Ideally possess experience working within the Heavy Plant Industry.
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
- MRCIS/MCInstCES/MCIOB with CPD maintained or working towards them.
- CSCS Card (Professional Qualified Person).
