Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking to strengthen our Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Falmer, with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for the Commercial Management of Project(s).

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Quantity surveying duties related to managing projects and work packages
2. Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs
3. Collaborating with the client to ensure business requirements are met
4. Managing the main contract, including contractual notices and correspondence
5. Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
6. Assisting in the management and performance of subcontractors
7. Managing the preparation and agreement of applications for payment
8. Preparing project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts
9. Assisting in the management and development of junior commercial staff

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Working towards or chartered membership of a recognized institution
• Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors
• NEC3 experience

Desirable:

• Experience in managing and developing individuals or small teams
