You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag. Our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects - 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Be self motivated, disciplined and commercially astute with the ability to identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Have excellent communication and customer facing skills, and work as part of a team promoting our culture and values.
- Demonstrate and maintain commercial and technical knowledge, working closely with technical staff to develop appropriate techniques and solutions for the project.
- Effectively and consistently implement the SCS Commercial Policy and procedures.
- Identify and provide appropriate, timely information to support the change control process.
- Degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction subject.
- Strong problem solving, can do approach.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Preferably experience in design and rail or infrastructure projects.
- Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation and a relevant CSCS card.
