Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Nuclear Engineering Project
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £45,000 +

- Leading Projects: Be the focal commercial point on nuclear projects and commissions, managing client relationships.
- Collaboration: Work within the client team and liaise with leadership, project managers, contractors, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control nuclear project costs to ensure delivery within budget. Validate and manage contractor and supplier costs and payments.
- Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to give clients confidence in their project outcomes, presenting financial performance and risk updates.
- Procurement: Support procurement activities, evaluating and appointing contractors for nuclear projects.
- Contract Administration: Administer various contract types, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. Review contract changes, ensuring timely submissions and agreement.
- Risk and Value Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial risks. Assist in value engineering to optimize project performance.
- Developing Colleagues: Work closely with your team to foster career progression and mentor colleagues.
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline.
- Experience in both pre and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
- Familiarity with NEC4, FIDIC, or ICHEME contract frameworks.
- Understanding of methods of measurement (CESMM4/MMHW).
- Experience with nuclear infrastructure projects or civil infrastructure (highways, water, or rail) is desirable but not essential.
- A member or working towards membership with the Chartered Institute of Surveyors (RICS) or other recognized equivalent bodies.
