LeopardstownOur Leopardstown office is ideally situated within an HSE building at Leopardstown Shopping Centre, offering excellent connectivity, convenience, and a vibrant working environment. SandymountOur Sandymount office is located in a vibrant seaside village with a welcoming community feel. The office is served by the DART commuter train and central bus routes, making it easily commutable from the city and surrounding areas.
Contract Type: Permanent and specified purpose posts.
Contract Hours: Full and part time hours available.
Salary Scale: €97,978 - €115,166 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments).
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview of the PostTo work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a psychology service to an assigned caseload which may include children and their families on the community team and/or an assigned special school team. This will include assessment diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities attending our service. Services are provided to children aged 0 - 18 years with physical, sensory, and/or learning disabilities, and/or developmental delay.
Overview of Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide psychology service to assigned caseload, including assessment diagnostics, intervention, clinical and performance supervision, and ongoing service delivery to children aged 0 - 18 years with disabilities.
Qualifications & Experience- Recognised university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8) with 1st or 2nd class honours, Psychology major, meeting PSI requirements.
- Irish post graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by PSI in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology, or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
- Demonstrate competence in the Care Group(s) applied for.
- Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or British Psychological Society (BPS).
- At least five years satisfactory post graduate experience in professional psychology, with no more than three years spent gaining the post graduate qualification and at least two years of full time post qualification experience.
- Clinical or counselling psychology qualification with at least 60 days of supervised clinical placements or post qualification supervised work experience in Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology, or Adult Psychology.
- Educational psychology qualification with at least 60 days of supervised placements or post qualification work experience in Child Disability or Child Psychology.
- Eligible to work in the State.
- Previous experience in a senior post.
- Experience of facilitating parent groups.
- Experience of inter or trans disciplinary team working.
- Experience of working with children aged from birth to 18 years, with a range of disabilities (including physical disability, autism, learning disability).
- Specific experience in assessment and intervention with children with physical disabilities and/or specific learning difficulties.
- Qualification and experience in completing ASD diagnostic assessments.
- Experience and training in formal supervision processes.
