RoleAs a Senior Proposals Development Associate at ICON, you will facilitate the development and preparation of proposals for clinical trials, thereby contributing to the advancement of innovative treatments and therapies.
Responsibilities- Participate in the development, support and ongoing maintenance of all costing tools and associated modules.
- Support Business Development in winning new business for ICON.
- Support Client Contract Services in the management of contract and change orders.
- Adhere to ICON's values centered on People, Clients, and Performance.
- Ensure operational effectiveness of Business Development through development, maintenance, and training responsibilities applicable to costing systems.
- Work with other ICON Regions and divisions to develop and maintain costing tools.
- Participate in the development and improvement of current systems, tools, and processes.
- Maintain current systems, tools, and processes.
- Identify future needs and propose methods to best utilize technology to improve departmental efficiency.
- Assist in the identification of training and development requirements of potential users of Business Development systems and tools.
- Provide initial and ongoing training and support to all potential users of Business Development systems and tools.
- Support the team in delivering high quality client focused proposals, budgets and client grids for new business opportunities within given timeframes.
- Train and mentor Systems Analysts as appropriate.
- Assist Directors of Proposals and Client Contracts Services in developing and improving training and educational materials for Proposal Development Associates and Contract Analysts.
- Contribute to the development of processes and tools to improve the accuracy and quality of proposals and contracts.
- Assist with continuous departmental process improvements and participate in special projects periodically assigned.
- Comply with ICON administrative, training and human resources policies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical/CRO industry or equivalent.
- Prior experience in proposal development, contract/change order development, outsourcing (Sponsor) and/or related experience/qualifications.
- Good understanding of industry cost drivers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be a self starter, proactive and professional with the ability to function in a high paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be able to work independently, be highly motivated and a strong team player.
- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and excellent written English skills are essential.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills and proficiency with Word and Outlook.
