Senior Property Underwriter

One of our exclusive clients, recognised as a global leader in P&C insurance, is seeking an Expert Property Underwriter to join their Paris office.

You will be part of a renowned team of underwriters focused on the Grands Comptes. Acting as the manager's right-hand, you will contribute to defining the underwriting strategy and play a key role in leading the portfolio.

If you are an ambitious, driven, and experienced underwriter, this opportunity is for you. Ideally, you bring 10+ years of experience and have mastered all facets of the profession-legal knowledge, commercial acumen, and technical expertise.

A summary of the role:

• Underwrite and manage a highly profitable book (Property) for national and global accounts
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members
• Monitor market trends and ensure ongoing technical profitability
• Contribute actively to the team's strategy, planning, and key projects
• Serve as the manager's right-hand in operational and strategic matters

What you will need:

• 10+ years of experience in underwriting across Property Line
• A strong understanding and grasp of technical underwriting and wordings
• Sharp negotiation and communication skills with a commercial mindset
• Willingness to pass on knowledge and support the more junior members of the team

Location: Paris

Work from home: 2 days a week
