Location: Belfast City Centre / Derry-Londonderry (Gransha) / Lisburn
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours
Salary: £27.49 per hour
Contract: Temporary 6 months (With possibility of extension)
We are seeking experienced and motivated Senior Project Managers to join the Digital Operations Directorate within the Business Services Organisation (BSO). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering large-scale, complex ICT projects that directly impact health and social care services across Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will take lead responsibility for planning, managing, and delivering ICT projects of significant scale and value. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring ICT systems are designed, implemented, and managed to improve healthcare services regionally.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of complex ICT projects on time and within budget, in line with PRINCE2 and BSO project management standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop business cases and identify innovative ICT solutions.
- Manage procurement, supplier relationships, and contractual agreements for ICT systems and services.
- Oversee project finances, ensuring accurate planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Lead, support, and develop project teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations.
- Ensure lessons learned and best practices are shared across the organisation.
- A degree/professional qualification and at least 3 years' experience in project management within a major organisation, OR 5+ years' relevant project management experience.
- Experience of leading ICT projects worth over £100,000, or workstreams within ICT programmes exceeding £5 million.
- At least 3 years' experience managing teams.
- A recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, or equivalent).
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car (or alternative transport for applicants with disabilities).
