Senior Project Manager

About The Role

The Gleeds business in Africa has enjoyed significant growth in recent years. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in managing construction projects in one or more of the following sectors: Hospitality, High-end Residential, Industrial Projects, or Shopping Malls.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in achieving business objectives.
• Engaging positively with customers and developing strong relationships.
• Providing leadership and guidance to project teams for efficient collaboration.
• Ensuring high-quality services and that project deliverables meet client requirements.
• Managing projects in accordance with business procedures.
• Administering contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent, or Project Manager.
• Producing and presenting reports to clients.
• Mentoring and coaching employees.
• Identifying new business opportunities and driving growth.
• Advising Directors on project issues promptly.

About You

The successful candidate should have significant experience leading project teams throughout the project lifecycle, with a strong understanding of sector norms and standards, stakeholder management, team leadership, and contract management.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields; a postgraduate degree is a plus.
• 12+ years of proven experience in delivering project management services on major construction projects.
• Professional certifications and affiliations are advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.
