The Role

This is a hybrid role combining remote work with site presence in the Cardiff area.

Who is this role for?

This role is for experienced project management professionals, preferably with experience in Data Centres, on the developer/end customer side, though we will consider GC experience as well. If you meet only some of these criteria, apply anyway-no one meets every requirement.

Purpose of the role
  • Supercharge client service: Deliver cutting-edge project and cost management services using the latest digital tools.
  • Cradle-to-grave expertise: Oversee all project aspects through Stages 2-6, following regional stage gate processes.
  • Creation of detailed project execution plans: Develop plans appropriate to project stage and design maturity.
  • Champion collaboration: Work closely with commercial managers to ensure timely, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
  • Innovate fearlessly: Bring new ideas, design processes, and exceed industry expectations.
  • Embrace digital transformation: Lead integration of project management through Laminar's project controls approach.
  • Think outside spreadsheets: Desire for a digitally enhanced approach is essential, data fanaticism not required.
Data Centre Focus (Desirable)

Experience in data centre projects, understanding local regulations, and proven ability in project strategies, negotiations, and stakeholder management are valued but not essential.

Regional focus

Native speaking is desirable; understanding local regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Support contractor pre-qualification, bid processes, and recommendations
  • Assist in contract negotiations, including GC business terms
  • Coordinate design team activities
  • Manage approvals, permits, and constructability reviews
  • Gather and provide cost estimates, produce cash flow projections
  • Manage vendors, control budgets, and schedule
  • Support document control and QA/QC processes
Team

This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy, focusing on understanding project problems, implementing solutions, and developing best practices, tools, and technology.

  • Own the project: Manage all stages, control change and risk.
  • Own the outcome: Produce plans, manage stakeholders, and ensure integrated delivery.

  • Make scalable solutions: Develop best practices and tools collaboratively.
  • Develop everyone: Focus on personal and professional growth of your team and clients.
Capabilities

Extensive experience in construction project management, client interaction, and leadership skills are required. Additional training in data, planning software, and leadership will be provided if needed.

Must-Have
  • 8+ years of project experience, including claims involvement
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Strong leadership and impact track record
Nice to Have
  • Excel skills, interest in data, project planning experience
  • Charisma and influence in construction environments
  • Leadership in team development and scalable solutions
