Working for a leading consultancy, this is a Senior opportunity for a technically strong Project Engineer to support a major infrastructure project delivering an above-ground CO gathering pipeline system and associated utilities across the Teesside industrial region.

This is a critical, client-facing role acting as the main engineering interface between the engineering design office and the construction site.

The Role

Full-time on site in Teeside (5 days per week) with occasional travel to Manchester (typically once per month)

12-18 month contract, can be outside IR35

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the focal point for all engineering activity on site
  • Own the Site Technical Query procedure and register
  • Maintain master engineering drawings and ensure site mark-ups are captured for as-building
  • Manage and communicate design changes to AFC deliverables
  • Identify programme risks early, escalating issues where required
  • Ensure compliance with governance processes, standards, and approvals
  • Interpret complex engineering documentation including P&IDs, alignment diagrams, strip charts, isometrics, GA drawings, and civil/structural designs to ensure construction is delivered to specification
What We're Looking For
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 and Pressure Equipment regulations
  • Valid CSCS or CCNSG card
  • A role with real visibility on site, where your judgement, technical strength, and ability to operate at senior level will be trusted from the outset.
