Senior Electrical Project Engineer (Data Centres)

Location: Dublin Hybrid

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join its team, focusing on large-scale data centre projects. This role involves leading electrical design from concept through to delivery, working both independently and collaboratively to meet project timelines and quality standards.

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across multiple projects
• Develop electrical specifications, schematics, and detailed design documentation
• Manage projects from initial concept through to completion with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams
• Oversee tender preparation, analysis, and contractor selection
• Monitor installation progress and ensure quality standards on-site
• Support the development of internal electrical design standards
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff
• Prepare budgets, reports, and technical submissions for clients
• Conduct site visits and attend project meetings

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Chartered status advantageous)
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior engineering role
• Proven experience in electrical building services design, particularly within data centre projects
• Strong understanding of relevant industry standards (ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, EN)
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, and Amtech
• Ability to lead projects independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
