About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our procurement function. In this strategic position, you will play a critical role in aligning procurement activities with the company's broader objectives. Your mission is to ensure cost-effective sourcing, reliable supplier performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction - all while driving innovation and sustainability in the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all procurement activities to ensure the availability of the right product portfolio at the right price.
- Evaluate and improve supplier performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing procurement efficiencies.
- Oversee the end-to-end tendering process across all categories - from supplier selection to contract negotiation - in alignment with company standards for cost, quality, and service.
- Strengthen supply chain resilience by sourcing alternative suppliers and securing contracts that protect business continuity.
- Conduct regular supplier and internal stakeholder reviews to enhance service levels and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize internal processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, including regulations on dangerous goods, and internal policies.
- Lead and develop a team of category managers and product information specialists, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and growth.
Performance Standards
- Delivery of cost savings while ensuring uninterrupted product availability.
- Execution of the procurement roadmap with minimal delays or disruptions.
- Full compliance with legal and corporate policies.
- Measurable improvements in process efficiency and procurement effectiveness.
- Strong collaboration and alignment with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- High customer satisfaction through effective supplier management.
- Development and performance management of a high-functioning procurement team.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in procurement, including proven experience in a managerial role.
- Strong track record of working with diverse suppliers in an international environment.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Solid understanding of contract and risk management principles.
- Project management experience and a continuous improvement mindset.
- NEVI certification is a plus.
- Fluency in Dutch and English is required; knowledge of German is an advantage.
