Senior Process Engineer

Our client is a well-established multinational EPCM consultancy with extensive experience across the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and other Life Sciences sectors. They are currently looking for experienced Senior Process Engineers for 12-month contract positions based in Cork, with hybrid working available. Two positions are available.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading the system design team on projects. Systems may include the production and distribution of high-purity gases and chemicals, upstream and downstream biologics processing, small molecule synthesis, and fill/finish.
• Development of planning concepts, preparation of cost forecasts, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Technical and disciplinary management of the Process Technology group within the Biopharma and Life Sciences Department.
• Support with sales and project set-up, as well as throughout project execution.

Requirements:

• Chemical Engineering Degree
• 5+ years of professional experience in the development, planning, realization and commissioning of process plants in the life science industry
• Excellent technical knowledge in the field of processes and equipment of biotechnological processes (USP, DSP, CIP, SIP, stainless steel and single use technologies) or in the field of pharmaceutical dosage forms (liquids and / or solids or semi-solid)
• Knowledge of relevant requirements and biosafety regulations
• Previous experience in managing and leading teams
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, together with a customer-focused approach and good organisational skills.
