Senior Platform Engineer - Developer Experience

We are now transitioning from a sales-led to a product-led company - and the Developer Experience team is at the heart of this transformation.

About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Staff/Senior Platform Engineer who is passionate about Developer Experience (DevEx). This is not a typical infrastructure role, it's a strategic, high-impact position focused on enabling developers to ship faster, safer, and happier.

You'll work closely with a globally distributed development team (Spain, UK, and remote), directly supporting the acceleration of our platform transformation into a PaaS model. Your mission will be to define, mentor, and lead on best practices in CI/CD, Kubernetes, and self-service tooling, and shape the "golden path" that all developers follow.

Day to day
Lead by example as a staff-level engineer, mentoring and supporting a team of 5+ developers.

Identify bottlenecks in the software delivery process and design practical, scalable solutions.

Build a model roadmap for DevEx and create clear metrics for measuring success (e.g., time from idea to production, developer happiness).

Design and implement self-service tooling to reduce friction and cognitive load for engineers.

Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, previously Jenkins).

Help standardize Kubernetes-based deployment patterns, including ArgoCD and service mesh.

Translate business goals into technical strategy and turn pain points into opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate across Engineering and Platform teams to deliver high-leverage outcomes.

Support our shift to a platform-as-a-product mindset and improve competitiveness through DevEx.

Desired experience
Broad engineering experience, ideally with a background in software development.

Deep expertise in DevEx and platform strategy, not just infrastructure or operations.

Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD tooling (especially GitHub Actions), and Kubernetes.

Proven ability to create self-service platforms and developer-first workflows.

Strategic mindset - you know what "good" looks like in a modern engineering org, and how to get there.

Experience with observability and performance monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) is a plus.
