About the Role:
My client, a leading UK based IT Solutions Consultancy, are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their expanding, industry renowned Platform Engineering team. This is a brand new position, that is required in order to support Platform Services across the organisation's constantly growing portfolio of global clients.

Tech Stack:

• Infrastructure Platforms (VMware/Linux/Automation & Containers/Kubernetes)
• Experience with tools such as (but not limited to): Zabbix, Grafana, Cribl, Prometheus, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet/Chef, VAST, WEKA
• Exposure to GPU technology
• Relevant knowledge and skills in VMware environments encompassing VCF, SRM, HCX, VCDA, VVF, NSX etc a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Senior member within the Platform Engineering team (ability to lead and mentor team members when required.
• Contribute to projects, using your wealth of knowledge & hands-on practical experience.
• Develop and support global platform infrastructure, utilising a wide range of tools, and services
• Continuously improve platform capabilities through innovation and feedback
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operations
• Apply infrastructure-as-code and configuration management best practices
• Contribute to solution design & deployment
• Delivering Customer projects within required timeframes

Essential Experience/Skills:

• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• Strong hands-on experience using various technologies (see Tech Stack above)
• Strong understanding of solution design & deployment
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to clearly describe elements of projects & consult during projects
