Senior Platform Architect

A global financial markets infrastructure firm is hiring a Senior Platform Architect to help shape the evolution of a high-profile, business-critical platform. Paying up to 110k per annum plus bonus and benefits you will be based out of their City of London offices 3 days a week (two days remote).

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and business engagement, playing a key role in moving a Legacy estate toward a modern, cloud-native platform.

The Role

• Define and govern architecture across a globally distributed engineering function
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and fit-for-purpose
• Work closely with engineers to guide modern design and development practices
• Engage senior stakeholders across technology and business
• Translate complex technical decisions into clear, commercial outcomes

Technology Environment

• Backend: TypeScript/C#
• Frontend: JavaScript/React
• Cloud: AWS (containers, serverless, broader ecosystem)

What They're Looking For

• Strong platform/solution architecture experience in modern cloud environments
• Background building scalable, distributed systems
• Ability to operate at a senior stakeholder level
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• A modern engineering mindset (not tied to Legacy approaches)
