We are recruiting for:Bovis is seeking a Senior Planning Manager for our UK Regions Construction business on a circa £300m heritage refurbishment project in Manchester City Centre. This role involves leading and managing the planning and monitoring of large, complex projects throughout all stages, working closely with the Project & Operations Team to develop efficient methodologies and ensure timely delivery. The role also includes supporting system and process enhancements and overseeing junior staff.
- Develop project planning, program, and delivery strategies with the Project Team for bids and projects.
- Lead preconstruction and construction methodology development for efficient project delivery.
- Create project plans, programs, and planning reports according to procedures.
- Provide solutions for project delivery and advise the Project Team.
- Report progress regularly against contract and delivery programs.
- Prepare reports to inform senior leadership on program-related matters.
- Use data analysis to pre-empt delays and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Support creation and status updates of medium and short-range programs.
- Produce data for project controls and dashboards.
- Chair weekly planning meetings.
- Review change proposals and assess time impacts.
- Record delays and benchmarking data.
- Enhance planning procedures and coordinate 4D BIM models.
- Facilitate team understanding of the plan and support junior staff development.
- Deep understanding of construction methodology, building technology, and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial terms.
- Excellent communication skills adaptable to various audiences.
- Ability to produce high-standard reports and diagrams.
- Working knowledge of P6 and CPA planning techniques.
- Strong Excel skills.
