We are looking for aSenior Plannerto join our team on a permanent basis, supporting the delivery of a major nuclear decommissioning project. In this role, you will be responsible for thedevelopment, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules, ensuring effective planning and progress tracking across all phases of the decommissioning lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide accurate forecasting, identify potential risks, and support strategic decision-making to keep the project on time and within budget. Your day to day could sometimes involve:
  • Prepare high level strategic programmes to identify, monitor and asses impact of key sequence, responsibilities and key strategies.
  • Monitor and report against programmes at all stages of pre-construction, construction, including use of S-curves, trend analysis, baselines, Critical Path analysis and rescheduling.
  • Establish sequences, durations and methodology options for all stages of projects.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling procedures for assigned projects.
  • Develop, update and maintain project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6).
  • Ensure planning processes and outputs comply with project governance, client requirements, and industry standards.
  • Conduct schedule impact assessments for proposed changes and support change control processes.

About You

Who we're looking for
  • Relevant experience in Planning, experience in Nuclear or Nuclear Decommissioning is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with standard form of contract, including NEC suite and Public Contract Regulations 2015 would be beneficial. Candidates personal and communication skills, ambition, drive and energy will be considered equally important to be successful.
  • Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Planning, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar / relevant discipline, or in some cases applicants with an alternative background may be considered.
  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable and will be supported if not already attained.
