We are now seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Acute Medical Team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of acute medical conditions across various specialties including Respiratory, Neurology, Elderly Care, Cardiology and Rheumatology. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality inpatient physiotherapy care collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes. The role will cover respiratory weekends which includes CCU. This post will also rotate with A/L cover role at 18 months intervals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert physiotherapy care across the acute medical spectrum, with a focus on respiratory, neurology, cardiology, elderly care and rheumatology.
- Manage complex patient cases, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care and rehabilitation and discharge planning.
- Provide respiratory cover at weekends which includes ICU.
- Work closely with medical teams to create tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to care, responding to the changing needs of the department.
- CORU membership is essential.
- Extensive experience in acute medical care, including in areas such as respiratory, neurology, elderly care cardiology and rheumatology.
- Experience in ICU and covering respiratory weekends is essential.
- Post-graduate courses or CPD relevant to acute medical conditions/ respiratory is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
