JOB BAND: E

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, full-time contract.

JOB TITLE: In-house title is currently Senior Policy Advisor.

LOCATION: can be based in London or Salford, at least 3 days a week with hybrid working for the remainder.

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £60,000 - £70,000pa, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. WHY JOIN THE TEAM
The BBC's Group Partnerships team drives strategic impact across the organisation, delivering value to audiences, partners and the BBC itself. A small, dynamic unit, it collaborates with Commissioning to develop partnership project opportunities, promotes best practice in partner relations, engages through events and other innovative stewardship opportunities, and evaluates partnership effectiveness and impact through audience insight. We're seeking a Senior Partnerships Manager to join the team, ideal for someone energised by cross-BBC collaboration and working with a broad range of external partners.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Align Children's & Education partnerships with BBC's overarching strategic goals.
  • Lead development of new partnership opportunities, overseeing scoping, negotiation and delivery of MOUs.
  • Collaborate with BBC leadership to design and trial innovative partnership models.
  • Chair editorial boards and liaise across Editorial Policy, partners and independent production companies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of partnership agreements, managing budgets and leading team members as required.
  • Evaluate and report on partnership outcomes; drive partner account management and embed best practices.
  • Provide strategic support, partner triage and partner integration opportunities across content priorities.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Proven experience in development and delivery of partnership strategy and managing high-level stakeholder relationships within a content commissioning context.
  • Skilled in negotiating partnerships and influencing outcomes across internal teams and external organisations.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong brand-building insight and commercial understanding to increase and enhance audience engagement through partner collaborations.
  • Expertise in planning, budgeting, and evaluating performance using robust frameworks.

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of the content, brand and partner landscape within Education and Children's.
