Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This opportunity is based in Manchester and focuses on infrastructure and pipeline projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and overseeing the design of civil engineering projects within the water sector
• Coordinating and managing design activities related to infrastructure and pipelines
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports and design documentation
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders to align project requirements and deliverables
• Conducting site visits and inspections as required

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector
• Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure and pipeline design
• Proven ability to lead and manage design teams
• Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Chartered engineer status (or working towards it) is preferred
