Job Description
Your new Role:
As a Senior Officer - Fund Accounting, your role will encompass the end to end support for fund accounting and reporting across complex investment structures, ensuring high quality financial outputs and seamless collaboration with key stakeholders.
Your responsabilities will include:
- Review and/or prepare Financial Statements with disclosures, as well as other ad hoc client service requests.
- Review and/or perform bookkeeping activities, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of transactions for private equity and other investment structures.
- Calculate net asset value and prepare fund reporting packs on a quarterly, semi annual, and annual basis, in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation and/or review of financial statements for audit purposes.
- Communicate and liaise with external stakeholders, including Investment Managers, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Understand complex fund structures and the accounting treatment required for related transactions.
- Perform self review of core processes, demonstrating awareness of the full fund reporting cycle-from interpreting governing documents to finalising financial statements.
- Assist in onboarding new entities onto the accounting platform.
- Review and/or calculate tax and VAT reporting requirements.
- Prepare required regulatory and client reporting (e.g., BCL, CSSF).
- Ensure timely and adequate responses to client requests.
- Report to and communicate with Investment Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Take ownership of the full fund reporting cycle, from reviewing governing documentation, managing day to day accounting tasks, producing quarterly reporting and NAVs, to preparing annual financial statements.
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Mathematics or equivalent experience;
- 3 to 5 years' experience in Accounting, preferably for Private Equity or Real Estate funds;
- Solid understanding of accounting principles standards such as IFRS, LUXGAAP and/or USGAAP;
- Investran knowledge considered a plus;
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly strong knowledge of Excel;
- Fluent English, both written and spoken;
- Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines for client deliverables;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
