Senior Network DevOps Engineer

I m hiring a Senior Network DevOps Engineer on behalf of a leading global provider of cybersecurity solutions, specializing in hardware security modules (HSMs) and related services.

With a focus on safeguarding sensitive data and cryptographic keys, their innovative products cater to diverse industries, including finance, healthcare, and government.

The company is committed to delivering robust, scalable, and customizable security solutions to protect digital assets and ensure the integrity of critical information in an increasingly interconnected world.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Configure, operate, and maintain network infrastructure across on-premises (Juniper and Fortinet) and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Design and enforce firewall policies, VPNs, and secure access methods aligned with zero-trust and least-privilege principles.
• Monitor network health, traffic, and performance using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana Loki, and OpsGenie.
• Deploy and optimize network services to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible and/or Terraform for automated, consistent network configuration and deployments.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues with tools such as Wireshark, nmap, and vendor utilities to maintain reliability and minimize downtime.

This role is remote from anywhere in Germany.

Essential:

• Several years of professional experience as a Network DevOps Engineer
• Strong foundation in networking concepts (IP subnetting, VLANs, BGP, VPNs) with hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Juniper platforms.
• Skilled in applying security best practices, including zero-trust principles, least-privilege access, platform hardening, and IAM.
• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for network automation using Ansible, with additional experience troubleshooting via tools such as Wireshark and nmap.
• Familiar with modern observability practices, leveraging monitoring and logging technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, as well as protocols like TLS.
• Proactive and solution-oriented thinking
• Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable:

• Fluent German speaking - if not you will be expected to take German language lessons
