- Lead and contribute to the development of electromechanical medical products from concept through to manufacture
- Apply sound engineering principles, including modelling, analysis, and data-driven decision-making
- Engage in risk management activities in line with ISO 14971, including FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and user-centred product solutions
- Present concepts and technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Manage client relationships and communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes
- Take ownership of project delivery-ensuring high-quality outputs, on time and within budget
- Strong background in mechanical engineering (degree-qualified)
- Experience in the design and development of mechanical or electromechanical systems
- A systematic and analytical approach to engineering problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with medical device development and regulatory standards (especially ISO 14971)
- Experience in consultancy or client-facing project work
- Leading or managing engineering projects
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition, testing, and performance analysis
- End-to-end product development: concept, prototyping, testing, DFM, and transfer to manufacture
