At Cavendish Nuclear, we're working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at either our Warrington or Leicester site.

The role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, applying your process, domain knowledge, and experience.

Day-to-day, you'll support effective management of customer relationships, including liaison and development with existing and new customers.

• Identify and apply procedures, codes, and standards to engineering activities.
• Contribute to the Project Safety Assessment process.
• Communicate and manage project risks appropriately.
• Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based at either Warrington or Leicester, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Essential experience

• We welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds; nuclear experience is not required.
• Experience working collaboratively within multi-discipline teams on various project types.
• Proven experience handling tasks of varying complexity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
