About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading MEP consultancy on commercial and residential projects across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile developments, from large-scale residential complexes to modern commercial spaces.

Key Projects:

You will have the opportunity to work on projects such as:

• Large-scale residential developments incorporating sustainable HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Modern commercial office spaces with integrated mechanical services design.
• Mixed-use buildings combining residential and commercial elements, including energy-efficient MEP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for commercial and residential buildings.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery from concept through to completion.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical design for commercial/residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP design standards, codes, and building regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
