OverviewMastercard Services is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by providing consulting, marketing services, data analytics, fraud and risk mitigation, cybersecurity solutions, and value-added services. Our team also proposes means to improve the digital payments experience through expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.
Role Description and Major Responsibilities- Develop business in Consulting & Security on specific accounts (Financial Institutions & large Fintechs) in France, working with Account & Business Development Managers.
- Lead sales calls and new client development across all lines of Services Business for assigned accounts in France.
- Achieve sales targets for existing accounts and contribute to Mastercard deal bids.
- Identify implicit and explicit client needs, focusing on critical aspects of their problems.
- Translate client objectives into hypotheses and structure work for complex projects or ill-defined problems.
- Contribute to pitches, from storyboarding to face-to-face presentations.
- Create persuasive written materials tailored to the audience level.
- Contribute to project delivery, identify shortcomings, and take remedial actions.
- Manage knowledge capture and ensure it is accessible firm-wide.
- Contribute as a thought leader through articles, blogs, and intellectual capital development.
- Leverage Mastercard Services capabilities to propose innovative solutions.
Education Needed
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Experience in Business Development within Payments, Services, Security.
- Experience in top management consulting firms or relevant industry.
- Background in Financial Services or Security Solutions.
- Proficiency in French and English (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of payments market, trends, and opportunities is advantageous.
- Ability to initiate, develop, and close sales.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, including financial opportunity framing.
- Customer-centric thinking.
- Ability to gain consensus and coordinate teams.
- Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree recommended.
