About the role:


As a Senior Manager Tax Operations, you will be a key member of our Accounting department, leading the Tax and HR Accounting Operations sub-team. Reporting to the Executive Director Accounting & Tax, and working closely with the Director of Tax, you will oversee and execute tax operations activities. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, focusing on indirect tax compliance, process optimization, and team leadership.


About your tasks:


  • Oversee the preparation and review of VAT returns, VAT refunds, and other indirect tax filings within the EU region
  • Maintain compliance with indirect taxes, including monitoring and control activities on transactions and master data
  • Initiate and drive process optimization initiatives related to taxes, including automation projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on critical indirect tax matters, including training finance colleagues
  • Serve as the control owner for internal controls within the tax operations area
  • Support the Director of Tax in maintaining effective relationships with external advisors
  • Lead a team of approximately three colleagues, providing guidance and support
  • Process and integrate payroll administration output into the financial accounting system and ensure accuracy in payroll-related financial accounts


Address: The job is based in our Dutch Headquarters: Erik de Rodeweg 11-13, 5975 WD Sevenum, near Venlo.

We offer a Dutch employment contract for this role.


Hybrid work model: we practice a model of 60% of work onsite, in the office and 40% of working time being flexible for you to chose if you wish to work from home office or prefer to come onsite.


About you:


  • International tax experience, with a focus on indirect tax compliance; experience with corporate income tax is preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in English, with a combination of Dutch or German being a must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience mentoring and developing at least one direct report
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, including task prioritization and effective time management
