West Monroe is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager to join our growing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice in London, UK, with a focus on the high-tech and software industries. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial team helping private equity and corporate clients navigate complex transactions in one of the fastest-growing markets.

In this role, you will lead engagements across the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, integration, carve outs, and value creation initiatives. You will work with cutting edge software, SaaS, TMT (telecommunications, media, and technology), and tech enabled services businesses, helping clients unlock growth opportunities, optimize operations, and deliver strategic outcomes.

You will also play a key role in growing the London office, contributing to business development, practice leadership, and team building.

Key Responsibilities Client Delivery
  • Lead complex M&A engagements for private equity and corporate clients, with a focus on high tech and software transactions.
  • Manage operational, product, and technology due diligence efforts to assess market opportunities, risks, and value drivers.
  • Deliver post merger integration (PMI) and carve out strategies, including operating model transformations, product strategy, and post sales operations optimization.
  • Evaluate functional and technology investment strategies, comparing operating models and organizational structures against industry benchmarks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C level executives, private equity deal teams, and operating partners, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee the execution of value creation initiatives, including revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational improvements for software and high tech companies.
Practice Development
  • Develop and enhance West Monroe's M&A methodologies, tools, and frameworks to address the unique needs of high tech and software clients.
  • Build data driven assets and analysis frameworks to evaluate software and high tech businesses effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to strengthen delivery capabilities, including technology, operations, and industry specific expertise.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, actively contributing to performance management and career development.
  • Support recruiting efforts to attract and retain top talent for the London office.
Business Development
  • Drive business development efforts by identifying opportunities with private equity and corporate clients in the high tech and software sectors.
  • Lead the creation of proposals, pricing estimates, and risk assessments tailored to client needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including private equity investors, corporate acquirers, and technology executives.
  • Develop go to market strategies, messaging, and sales materials to support business growth.
  • Represent West Monroe at industry and networking events, actively building a professional network in London and beyond.
Qualifications Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in M&A advisory, management consulting, or operational roles within the software and high tech industries.
  • Proven track record of leading M&A engagements, including due diligence, integration, and carve out initiatives.
  • Experience working with private equity firms, tech focused corporate acquirers, or technology driven businesses.
  • Deep understanding of software/SaaS business models, including go to market strategies, product management, and technology platforms.
Skills
  • Strong project management skills, including scope, timeline, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, operational analysis, and technology assessments.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C level executives and investors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing teams and building client relationships.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, as required by client engagements.
