The Team

This role sits within the Global Strategy and UK Commercial team, which reports to the Head of Global Strategy, Governance and UK Commercial. You will be responsible for driving the global strategy for Deliveroo Hop, working closely with the Head of Global Strategy, Governance and UK Commercial, driving strategic projects/programs and supporting the running of all governance for Deliveroo Hop to ensure the smooth running of the business unit. The work is a mix of strategic thinking, stakeholder management, project work and governance. The culture within the team is informal, fast-paced and entrepreneurial. Given the growth of the business and the senior stakeholder exposure, progression in the team can be fast.

The Role

In this role, you'll report to the Head of Global Strategy, Governance, and UK Commercial and will be responsible for

Working with the Head of Global Strategy, Governance, and UK Commercial and market/team leads to set the vision, strategy and plan for Deliveroo Hop.

Working with finance and central teams (e.g. Grocery Program Management) to coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of Hop inputs to planning processes (e.g. annual planning)

Supporting the Head of Global Strategy, Governance and UK Commercial to run governance for Deliveroo Hop and coordinating these processes across global stakeholders. This may include annual planning, quarterly planning, MBRs, WBRs and trading updates.

Leading strategic projects for Deliveroo Hop from strategy definition to delivery. The scope of these projects is expected to be wide and varied. Examples of topics could include the future of retail on Deliveroo Hop, defining and implementing a globally standardised commercial framework, and break-out options for innovation.

Conducting analysis and modelling to support strategic recommendations.

Coordinating and driving the delivery of strategic initiatives across HQ and market stakeholders, from trial to roll-out.

Skilled influencer, able to build trusted relationships up to the Director level

Strong strategy experience, perhaps gained through strategy consulting or in-house strategy roles

Ability to set annual vision and plan

Experience in running governance across multiple teams and geographies

Programme management experience in a matrixed and multi-geography team/organisation

Analytical and modelling skills, including understanding of P&Ls

Requirements

5+ years of experience in strategy, programme management and governance roles.

Significant experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders, preferably across multiple geographies.

Experience in, or working with, online or offline grocery retail is preferable.

Effective relationship-building, organisation and communication skills, whether face-to-face or through video, phone or email.

Confident working with and analysing data - able to cut through the noise to understand what performance improvements will help grow Deliveroo Hop.

Collaborative team player who can get the best out of the people around you. Able to work effectively with all levels of Deliveroo.

Experience working in Q-commerce is a plus
