Responsibilities- Lead the Finance & Operations team across finance, IT, and process management functions.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes across organizational and project levels.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and donor requirements, including financial and tax regulations.
- Supervise IT systems, data security, and GDPR compliance while promoting digital innovation.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency across departments.
- Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes.
- Foster a positive and high-performing team culture through effective leadership and coaching.
- Act as a sparring partner for the Executive Board, providing strategic and operational advice.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational expertise.
They Will Have- A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in a similar finance and operations role, ideally within an international NGO or organization.
- Proven track record in financial control, compliance, and process improvement.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering professional growth.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch.
- High integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- EU citizenship or a valid Dutch work permit.
- Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with AFAS, ClickUp, and Google Workspace.
- Experience managing third-party service providers.
- A full-time (40 hours/week) role with long-term growth potential.
- Initial 12-month contract with the intention to extend.
- Competitive gross monthly salary, based on experience.
