This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. This is a hybrid position requiring the team member to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week. No relocation is provided for this opportunity.
Job SummaryIn this role you will perform the responsibilities of leading teams across the Finance, Controllership function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead the execution of accounting activities
- Together with the Team, you will manage and execute statutory compliance for all entities under both group and local audits
- Ensure the timely month, quarter and year end closing activities, responsible for the close in accordance with both US and Local GAAP timelines as well as compliance with all SOX controls
- Oversight of monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance
- Support the regular tax compliance and reporting cycles, such as submission of corporate tax packs.
- Ensuring the day to day activities of the Revenue Accounting team are executed.
- Liaison with commercial FPandA to understand changes in financial performance and impacts to revenue
- Executing global revenue cut off activities quarterly ultimately resulting in an accurate revenue number in our financial statements
- People: Lead and mentor a team of professional accountants Focus on talent development, building a strong team Develop a customer-centric culture in your team with highly collaborative relationships with the relevant stakeholders
- Control environment: Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Accountable for ensuring that company policies and procedures (internal controls) are implemented to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected Support the Sarbanes Oxley activities relative to internal controls documentation and testing and segregation of duties Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Process, technology and service: Report agreed key performance indicators Support deployment of SAP S/4 HANA and other systems e.g. Blackline to garner greater efficiency within the Record to Report function Support implementation of Artificial Intelligence and /or RPA to drive further efficiency and effectiveness in our delivery of accounting services
- Other duties as assigned by GFS Leadership
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience in Finance or Accounting required
- 5+ years of experience managing teams
- In depth knowledge of both US GAAP and Local GAAP
- Proficiency in use of SAP ERP system and Microsoft office.
- Experince working in a finance shared services team.
- Being a lean organization, ability to plan and work independently and manage multiple tasks to meet the tight deadlines.
- Ability to understand the business drivers and the underlying non-financial information that drivers the financials of the company.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly analytical and has a strategic and commercial mindset.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Qualified accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA required
Travel Requirements: 10% of the time. Up to 26 business days per year.
Physical RequirementsSedentary - Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Benefits and CompensationPay Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is €107,200.00 - €136,500.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role. This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company's benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
