JOB PURPOSE

The Audit Senior Manager role provides an opportunity to broaden managerial, knowledge and skills within a busy, dynamic and growing Audit department. The job holder will work with the Audit Directors and Partners to deliver a wide range of audit portfolios. The post holder will lead managers, seniors, and trainees on audit assignments. This senior role is part of the management team in the Crowe career framework.

Responsibilities
  1. Project manage the delivery of a broad range of assignments and supervise junior team members as required. Review audit working papers and finalise financial statements ensuring they are accurate and ready for partner sign off.
  2. Identify appropriate resolution plans and guidance to address any identified areas for non compliance.
  3. Manage WIP, billing, timesheets, recoverability of the portfolio, assignment scheduling, planning, staffing and structure in line with firm compliance and general administration regulations.
  4. Participate in department and firm strategy. Stay informed on market, client, and technical developments to ensure alignment with firm activities.
  5. Mentor and motivate teams; provide constructive feedback and participate in Performance Management initiatives. Deliver on and off the job training as required.
  6. Participate in tenders and/or fee quotes when required.
  7. Lead the provision of audit planning and risk management advice to clients. Work with partners on consultancy projects.
  8. Own a business development portfolio with a mix of current and new clients; proactively pitch for new business and drive growth.
  9. Manage client relationships and foster business development opportunities to expand the client portfolio.
  10. Deliver assignments to a high standard of quality within timescales and budgets, ensuring clear supporting rationale for each assignment.
  11. Liaise with firm staff across disciplines to support the Audit Department and ensure compliance with firm policies and regulations.
  12. Be fully conversant with authority levels of the role and stakeholders to ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures and regulations.
Qualifications

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

  • A fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) is essential.
  • 5 plus years relevant PQE
  • Experience in using CaseWare would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of Irish GAAP, ISAs (Ireland) and Irish company law.
  • Demonstrable understanding of multiple audit clients and awareness of topical issues.
  • Strong technical competence and ability to work on a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well developed Project Management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
