Our client is seeking a client-facing funds professional with the experience and drive to build a book of new clients. The ideal candidate may be transitioning back to client servicing or be a former client-facing professional now in fund administration sales. Candidates should be professionally qualified as a chartered accountant or hold a relevant business or economics degree/masters. The role requires 7-10 years of funds experience at senior manager level or above, with a strong ability to build relationships, a solid understanding of fund structuring and regulatory frameworks related to private capital strategies, and a proven track record of winning new clients and exceeding sales targets. The candidate should be innovative, proactive, and possess an extensive network, with excellent communication skills and team spirit. Experience in managing sales processes, negotiations, and closing deals at CFO, CEO, and board levels is essential. Experience across multiple jurisdictions (Jersey, Guernsey, Ireland, Luxembourg) and backgrounds in consulting, auditing, M&A, investor relations, or fund management are advantageous.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to acquire new mandates and expand the client base.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell services to existing clients, strengthening relationships and increasing revenue.
- Build meaningful relationships with intermediaries and participate in industry events, networks, and conferences.
- Maintain a deep understanding of products, services, systems, and capabilities.
- Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and client meetings to proposal negotiations and contract signing.
- Identify and implement business development strategies to penetrate new customer segments and markets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and client management, providing tailored solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop strategies to attract new business.
