# Senior Manager - Risk and Controls 1LoD Location Location:Location:Coventry-Binley Business Park, Hybrid, ManchesterLocation is a required fieldSalary Details:Up to £90,000 (dependant on relevant experience) About the roleWe're seeking a Senior Manager to join the 1LoD controls office (Enterprise Controls) and lead a team of specialists delivering operational risk support and performing robust control testing across the Chief Commercial Office and Group Strategy functions.Acting as a trusted partner to senior business stakeholders, the Senior Manager will drive adherence to the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework and build risk and control maturity and capability across the Commercial and Strategy functions.It will lead a team of Controls experts to deliver high-quality risk assessments, expert advice, and control design and effectiveness testing as well as provide actionable insights that strengthen the control environment and support strategic objectives.The role holder will also act as a senior point of contact and expert leader for first-line risk matters, equipping business leaders and governance forums with rich insights and MI. Proven ability to lead teams and manage technical SMEs. Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, control testing, and regulatory requirements. Experience producing high-quality reporting for senior management and governance committees. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver through others. Exceptional communication skills, including confidence in presenting to senior / executive level management meetings. Analytical mindset, with a pragmatic and commercially aware approach. Desirable experience needed will be: Exposure to commercial and strategy functions.
