SENIOR MANAGED ACCOMMODATION OFFICER

The Managed Accommodation Service is part of the Supported Accommodation and Assessment Section.

We provide high quality, long term affordable accommodation to people who have faced or experienced homelessness.

This is a new way of meeting the needs of those who require accommodation and offers an exciting opportunity for individuals to join the team as the service develops and grows.

Senior Managed Accommodation Service Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage properties within the Council's Managed Accommodation service across multiple sites.
• Co ordinate health and safety of the Managed Accommodation sites and other supported accommodation services.
• Accommodate service users and deliver support while managing staff.
• Manage and control the service budget.
• Contribute to the development of new accommodation sites.
• Work an on call rota outside of normal office hours.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience managing accommodation sites.
• Understanding of delivering support services within a multidisciplinary context.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with partner organisations.
• Knowledge of health and safety in residential buildings or similar environments (advantageous).
• Commitment to developing knowledge of relevant legislation and introducing new initiatives and procedures to raise standards.

Additional Information

• Appointment subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including Adult Workforce Barred List.
• Suitable for post share.
