Senior Loans Officer - Health Services Staff Credit Union

Contract: Permanent Full Time - 35 hours per week.
Reporting To: Assistant Lending Manager - Senior Lending.
Location: High Street Dublin 8.
Renumeration: €46,478-€56,602, depending on relevant financial working experience and qualifications.
Annual Leave: 26 days. Occupational Pension Scheme.
Role Description- Assess credit applications including personal, business, overdraft, reschedules and, if required, mortgage applications.
- Review borrower's ability to repay and assemble associated paperwork.
- Review credit reports (e.g., CCR reports) and analyse self employed applicants' financial circumstances.
- Conduct stress tests as required.
- Approve loan applications within authority limits and policy.
- Contact members regarding ongoing applications and decision outcomes.
- Review applications for extensions or rescheduling agreements.
- Prepare and present complex loan applications to the Lending Team Manager, Combined Authority, Credit Committee and Board.
- Process loan requests on computer systems to reflect decisions.
- Deal with Business Loan queries through to application.
- Deputise for Lending Team Assistant Managers in their absence as required.
- Communicate decisions and actions to the Lending Team and senior management as required.
- Contribute to credit policy discussions.
- Assist with or participate on Board Committees, particularly the Credit Committee, if required.
- Perform administrative duties associated with the team's work.
- Maintain appropriate controls and inform senior management of any deviations from agreed timelines or policies.
- Support and promote sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives for a more efficient Credit Union.
- Perform any other duties that may be required.

- Minimum of an APA in Loans, Savings and Investments or equivalent satisfying the Central Bank of Ireland's Minimum Competency Code.
- Mandatory satisfaction of Fitness & Probity requirements.
- A relevant third level or professional qualification is an advantage.
- 2-3 years of personal loan underwriting experience.
- Good working knowledge of Wellington IT (Scion) is an advantage.
